Men’s Packing List for a Cruise
These can be used on the day on the ship both on port days and sea days and can also be used on shore excursions and days in port. Whenever we put together a cruise packing list, we recommend packing light and using a cruise capsule wardrobe where possible. In fact, they are a great thing to wear to dinner on a non-formal night. For formal night, jeans are too casual to adhere to the dress code. For example, you can wear a button down shirt to dinner with khakis and loafers then around port with shorts and sandals.
For a typical 7-night cruise, there are typically two formal nights and five casual nights. It's not "anything goes," but you'll find more flexibility than ever when it comes to cruise line dress codes. When in doubt, it's better to be overdressed than underdressed, especially when arriving for a seated dinner.
